So my buddy Deyl is hooking up the most insane house-swap EVER! ...it's gonna be a fun little vacation for a few of us over New Years so I had to take some more pictures of my place. I still don't have any bedroom furniture but it's coming soon and it's really cool.
very nice! So DJ, how do you feel about a house swap for a quaint cottage on lake michigan, complete with a pug, a beagle, an obese cat, and 5 well-behaved children??? :D
I think your favorite piece of furniture is that sweet LC4 chaise. I was on a tour of Boston in one of those "duck" vehicles that drives down the street and goes into water... the one where the tour guide talks to people walking down the street and everybody has duck-bill-shaped quacker kazoos. When we drove past the Design Within Reach store the LC4 chair was on the display in the window (pony print instead of black) and the tour guide said she thought it looked like a fancy ob/gyn exam table. Clearly she didn't appreciate modern design.
Okay, so maybe it's not technically furniture, but if it's not, I think you're favorite piece of furniture should be those HUGE windows. Are you kidding me? I challenge you to find a bad view from your sweet abode.
I'm snickering about the OB table comment, hehe! I do think the chair looks very comfortable, and I love the funky print version in the DWR catalog. I got on their mailing list a few years back and love it! Again, great house!
DJ "I love what you've done with the place"...! :-D
....I think your favorite piece of furniture is your cool chaise. I also like your driftwood console as well. And the placement of it. Nice juxtapostion of nature with modern lines. You home is very - Fallingwater-esqe, as in "Fallingwater" by Frank Lloyd Wright.
I'm keen to swap, ill just have to kick my family out, willing to live in my 4bedrooom 3 bathroom sea views in nz? with no landscaping but hey can't have its a roof.
love the stick man thats the main reason i want to swap
