My First Hill Shot

As you all know - I love the hill shot. I will find a hill anywhere because there is just nothing better than a nice clear blue sky, green grass and a gorgeous bride and groom up high on a hill. lol...actually there are lots of things better than that but hill shots are cool and like most of the cool things I've come up with...it orginated through a complete accident.

I was shooting this couple down in Orange County at Coto de Caza and after their wedding I didn't really know where to take them because I don't think I had shot a wedding at a golf course before so I was stumped so I just said go up on the hill and they started dancing and I was shooting and when I looked at the pictures I was like "wow" those are cool.

...and to see some awesome pregnancy pictures of this wondeful couple checkout Chelsea Hudson's website!

I found these shots because I had to plug in the old Windows box tonight to do a little testing for something that you'll all be very happy about when it comes out but that's all I can say. bye.

Yea... lol..I have to give CPR to the old windows box from time to time for testing stuff out. I'm not smart enough to get it running on my Macbook.

Valley shot sounds cool...let's see it!

I just love it when Sarah Barlow laughs out loud. It can brighten my day just thinking about her laugh! :)

BTW -- blue skies are good. "Cerulean" is my favorite Crayola and one of my favorite albums (The Ocean Blue - 1991...yeah, I'm stuck...).

I think that is one of your signature shots, very creative. I'm sorry but if I get a chance, I'm going to steal the idea! Thanks for sharing!

nice shot DJ - Ryan and Katie, the "hill" couple, are actually the ones who told me about you (they still rave about their incredible photographer and his wedding slideshow)... I did Katie's maternity shots and their newborn shots as well. She is the one who created my website. If you want to see some recent shots of them, her maternity pics are on my site. I emailed her the link to your blog when I saw their pics up this morning. Blessings to you and all your endeavors - thanks for all the inspiration!

Love these DJ! While I normally dig the drama of clouds, a clear blue sky works so well against a lush green hill.
