My church is awesome! ... and they are planting another church called Reality San Francisco and the new pastor built their website using Showit and it's so freaking good! Click here and check it out!
Praise the Lord! That is so cool that the faith community is now using show it! I can't wait until Show it becomes used by others than just photographers. Are you planning on expanding to that community some more DJ? :-)

My husband and I met with our pastor a couple weeks ago to talk about some of the things that will be happening in our church. I'll be on our new Communication Team, and my pastor asked Aaron if he would be interested in helping out the website(which is part of the communication/marketing of course!). I think we were both really excited at the idea, and I mentioned ShowIt. You should see what our church has now... it is so sad. Honestly, I would avoid our church if the website was the first thing I saw-- which is the opposite effect we want, obviously!
So, I'll bring it up again with them when they're ready to make the switch (I think they have a simple contract with the lady who is doing it now... gotta wait till that's up).
I'm so glad you shared this, because I can show it to my pastor now! I think he'll love it.
Also, can I just point out that it's amazing that ShowIt is being used by God??? It is not only helping people with their businesses, but it is now helping spread His word... wow. He is totally using you and the ShowIt team. I bet you had no idea God would take it in that direction when you started it way back when. He always has bigger plans that our own...

DJ, I would love to talk to your friend! I have a feeling that because I have experience with SIS the design work is going to fall to me. (love it by the way :)
I am sooo pumped they're going to use SIS! Last month I went on a mission trip to India to photograph kids at three organages that need financial sponsorship, with the intent to build a website when I got back. I know SIS will let me show off those beautiful kids to potential sponsors here in the States.
PS - I went to India without my wife, so I feel your pain about travelling alone. That part of the trip was not fun. I'll be praying for you bro!

Isn't the lord amazing! I love how he is using DJ's blog to connect believers together to use SIS to glorify his kingdom! :-)
