Living in the Clouds

When it's foggy in SB I absolutely love it because the fog comes in below my house! Isn't that crazy! So it feels like my house is floating and it's 12:45 and I was just crashing out but I just had to get a picture of this because it's absolutely incredible! The fog was just coming in so it hadn't covered up all the houses yet.

I shot this with my Mark 3 hand held for 10 seconds using a stellar stabilizing technique ;) 800 ISO at f/2.8 and this is straight out of camera....if you click on it and see it full size you can see stars!

Here's a little crop after some curves adjustments.

I think we should trade houses!

You can come stay here in a dinky suburban house, where your stellar view will be of a concrete street , and I'll take your house complete with amazing view and a pool, I think that's a fair trade off don't you? ;)

Have a blessed day!!!

I don't know how you do it....go to bed with awesome views, only to wake up and have it there again....such a hardship, I am sure. :) Looking out my own window, I feel like I just bowled with you and lost.

I can see the fog when it rolls in over my house, blocking my view of your house.

Upside is I don't have to water the yard this morning because the fog does it...you do. :P

Livin' la vida loca on the lower East side of SB.

Amazing! Makes me think of the Freedom Slumber event ... I slept in front of the windows and when I was falling asleep, and thanking Jehovah for such a wonderful event I remember saying thank for the beauty I was looking at as I looked out the window and viewing the amazing sky and stars ... My breath would have been taken away to see this fog view in real life!! Thanks for sharing it!!

DJ ~ You can't talk about hand-holding a 10 second shot without telling us how the heck you did that! Is that a joke? It wasn't April 1st...
