100k miles

For some reason I got really into this little United frequent flyer program. It's funny and I dunno why I like to check how much I've flown but I'm really excited because I just reached the highest level which is United's 1K program. They also have a "Global Services" thing but that's more int'l stuff.

This is just since february and only on United so I've actually flown more than this but I try and stick to United when I can. US Airways is good to and I might use them next year but United just updated their website so now it's super easy to schedule trips with multiple destinations. For example if I wanted to fly to New York for 3 days and then to Chicago for a couple of days and then back to LA for a day and then back to SB I could do it really easy on United.

Anyway...you guys probably don't care but I was excited.

Haha, I do the same thing. I'm super excited because there's a planned merger between USAir and Delta, so my miles between them will get combined - plus, it's a ton of airlines all together on which you can earn and use the miles (Delta, Northwest, and a bunch of others, soon to include USAair, I hope), so it's not a bad deal...

Hope you're having fun on your vacation! I'm so jealous, it's cold here.

Check out American Airlines. I like them cause in general they have more leg room AND they're one of they have power outlets under almost every seat on most of their planes. You can charge your laptop and your phone while you fly! :)

God bless you man! I miss ya!

Hey DJ,

I was just thinking. The best way to get your money back from Bleksim, or whatever there called, that they charged you extra for is to get the charges reversed through Visa. All you have to do is prove that they didn't provide service, so if you can show the annual agreement that you signed, and then showed that they charged you three or four times, Visa or Mastercard will credit your account back and then they have to deal with Visa on it. Then you can also go after them legally for all the other crap that they put you through.

It is Awesome. I use my United card to rack up even more miles. I love the 1K program, upgrades, better service, the lounges, all makes flying a better experience.

Time to go Global!

Any OSP Updates?

Sarah! haha...yea...the first time I tried it was when I was making those plans for Chicago! It's awesome!

Eric! That's sweet! Are you global services? That's legit dude! The lounges are key to traveling! I bought access to those first thing.

Cool updates thing too. Thanks for doing that! Matt has been jamming like superman on all this and I just heard that the new dedicated server was built by IPB (the same company who makes our forum) today and they're gonna put the final pieces and turn it on tomorrow. After that Matt will be dominating it for a day or two and then we'll be rocking!

:) I'm so excited!

DJ - I keep trying, but I can't seem to hit the minimum in a 1-year period.

But - My wife and I are thinking about buying a flat in Paris, and then...

Oh cool! I thought it was invite only or you had to be a part of a company that was involved.

Do you know what the mileage is? That'd be sweet.

I found out about the Global Services when I was going to Europe every month. The ladies at the united counter at CDG mentioned it was a super exclusive club for serious 1K members. they said it was invitation only, but if you did a lot of int'l travel year in and year out you could be considered.
