Check this out! The Ted Talks are these super cool presentations from people who've had a sweet idea in technology and Dane Sanders told me about them a couple of years ago and I've been loving them but this one is insane and so I thought I could try and contribute somehow.
Click here and watch the end to see how this picture that my friend Emmanuel took might be used in the future.

Incredible !
Wow what an amazing concept. The possibilities are endless. Thanks for sharing :)
Ugh....you know they are using everyones Flickr photos for that?
So called, "Creative Commons." Anyones photo on Flickr can be used for that......not cool.
That is simply amazing! I can't even begin to think of what this technology will be doing for us in the next couple of years. Thanks DJ!
speechless. this is amazing. do u think people will be able to view wedding images in 3-d in the future somehow?! sort of like a hologram?
Hi David, I'm having trouble finding your slideshow software. I came across it a few months ago and kept it in mind. I'd like to go for it now, if it's still available...
Yea - this is a cool way for everyone's photos to be used for something bigger and better. I think it's a great idea.
Hey Liz :) - You can find it at www.showitfast.com
Rock on!
DJ
DJ - thanks for sharing this link...truly amazing...kinda reminds of a futuristic movie.
Really cool stuff! I had just posted the other day about TED and another amazing technology that is out there! This one I think has more applications to our industry...so exciting!
Have fun in Paris!
wow. nice pose! lol!
That is AMAZING! I can't wait to see that technology at work!
All I can say is WOW.
the ultimate osp ... wow.
This is old, so maybe you've all seen it... but I was looking around that TED site, and found this!:

it was amazing, I think that everyone will remember it a long time.
DJ, if they had some way to collect the GPS coordinates on meta deta, (and they will I'm sure someday) and capturing location is part of the image file standard, this thing would be absolutely amazing.
The only thing that is weird is how do they deal with different exposures? Did these guys autolevel all of the images on Flikr? Because to be able to virtually "enter" images like this, you would want the exposures to be consistent.
Having said all of this, just imagine what it would do for the porn industry. You could do a whole bunch of different angles of a model, and then have people pay to enter the site.
