Where in the world is....

So this is a bit embarrassing but last weekend when I flew out to Philly I had no idea where Pennsylvania was! Ya see at my high school the history and geography teachers were always the athletic coaches and so I always took those classes with my soccer coach and we didn't spend much time going over anything other than soccer.

So today I went and picked up a globe! Globe's are so cool especially the kind I got because you can spin it and it makes for really cool photos! I just shot this one with my Canon SD 500 on the star mode that Becker showed me for long exposures!

I think I'm gonna go find out where you live! Yea!

Well at least you know that Pennsylvania exists...... Try finding Estonia or Latvia...... Some people on this sight didn't even believe they're on the globe (ahem, Sarah!)

I'm totally jamin' the motion shot! :-) Cool globe too!

to me, there is california, new york, florida & texas. all the other states are "fly over states" because you just... fly over them. texas is on the list because if you fly american arilines alot like i do... you gotta stop at DFW for gas every once and a while. (plus the cowboys play there!)

i mean, who in there right mind is actually going to fly to mississippi? frankly, the place sounds made up to me. is it even on your new globe?

hmmm...I don't see Mississippi - that's in South America isn't it?

haha yea becker touched on my US theory. my mother, who has spent her life in NY, once said to me "there is NY, and then the United States, and then California. Three states."

LOL of course she was kidding, but there is some partial truth to that. especially from people in NY or CA!!

frank and i proved that on the board a while back when we thought missouri was in the "south" and that alisha had a southern accent.

This is really sad. Soccer coaches should not be teaching geography and should stick to chasing balls on the field. People should not be bragging about the lack of knowledge and ignorance. It’s a shame that you are actually proud to announce that you know nothing more that the world within the 100 mile radius of three singular spot on the planet. That’s too bag most Americans are like that, because that one of the reasons Bush is our president. Even if you didn’t vote for him – your narrow mind contributed.
