Fix your Blogs Please :)

When I was in Russia they charge by the megabit for internet usage. Other places in the world function similarly and it's usually not a big deal but one thing I noticed is that there wasn't a chance I was gonna visit certain people's blogs who have them setup poorly. What I'm talking about is the blog page that never ends! Ya know those blogs that load and load and load and it's like the last year of this persons life.

If this is you FIX IT!

There's a setting that lets you set how many days to display - set it to seven days max...and if you're one of those people who likes to put 85 pictures in each blog post maybe set it to three days. After that let people use the archive to find what they want.

Ewwwww on you. Is somebody still sick and grumpy?
As a matter of fact, mine is set at seven entries...I just have a lot to say. Obviously. :)

lol - yea - yours fits more in the 85 pictures per post category. In Russia your blog would cost about $1 each time it loaded... :) Of course its worth it but I'm just saying that if the scroll button is smaller than my mouse then there is a problem. :P

OMG! You are too funny. I was seriously thinking this morning how that is one of my pet peeves. I went to my google reader and wanted to catch up on this one really great blog...it didn't load in time for my patience so I closed out! I hate that people don't check their settings...in wordpress I pick exactly how many posts will be on each page of my blog. I hope that I'm never one of those long loaders. LOL It's annoying to the MAX!

in wordpress there is a "more" link you can add so that only up to that point in the post appears on the front page. I don't know if blogger has this ability, but it's really nice to keep the front page smaller while still having a post full of lots of photos easily accessible.

My blog would be an extreme value in Russia... ;)

Shoot. So, is that why you don't read my blog anymore? Or does it have something to do with the fact that I only update it once every seven months...

I'm with Daniel - I was just adding value to my blog! :P

Adam - mine is set to 5 posts. :) ... just like what I suggested in my post. If you're using the search feature then yea you're gonna get all the posts that contain your search terms but that's not something anybody has control over.

Ciao ciao,
