I'm glad today is over...goodnight.

Phew...what a day...

I woke up this morning at 3:30am and couldn't go back to sleep. I didn't feel very good but I just thought I was tired so I rolled around for a few hours and then read some. At 9:00 Todd and I did a light workout and after that I was shattered. Something hit me and I couldn't even stand up. I was freezing cold and I remember just laying on the bathroom floor thinking I was gonna die. Ya see I never get sick but when I do it's dramatic and short lived. :) I still feel a little dizzy but am better for the most part.

The other thing that got me today was just a total bummer situation. Over the past couple of months I've been helping someone get their business going and they more or less just spit in my face, and those of you who know me understand that I do take business personally and I invest a lot into my business and into helping others with theirs and so this was like I just got slapped in the face with both hands. I really can't believe it and it got me really angry today but one thing I'm pretty good at is forgetting about things the next day and moving on.

On the bright side SmugMug continues to blow me away. I talked with them for a couple of hours and I'm excited about a lot of things for these next couple of years but certainly partnering with them is near the top of the list. They are a top class crew and some of you will get to meet them at my house next week which will be awesome!

1st paragraph comment - Ugh. Hope you feel better!

2nd paragraph comment - :( You're totally like Zach. Take business personally, but can't hold a grudge.

3rd paragraph comment - we haven't decided to go with them yet... though we're thinking on it...

yikes! keep your head up DJ! I hope you recover quickly. It's great that you can forgive those who do you wrong so promptly, it's probably attributed to your success....and, at least you have something to look forward to and focus on to keep you distracted from what might otherwise really bother you! You are a blessing to many!!

oh geeze, that sucks! Did you get food poisoning again?? I guess that doesn't really make sense if you woke up in the middle of the night, and then again in the morning. Some sort of quick virus shooting through you... no good. Glad you DIDN'T die:)

People suck sometimes... we all do. Best thing we can do is keep on loving how we've learned to.

I need to get going with SmugMug. I think I'm losin' me some profit with the company I'm with now.

Also, I voted for my top 3 fave sites. WOW, people put in a lot of great work.

(*if you woke up in the middle of the night not feeling well, and then didn't feel well again in the AM)... is what i meant to say. I care too much. ha:)

So sorry to hear you are sick. And about the mentoring situation. I'm on the hunt for an East Coast mentor right now. Thank you for posting about SmugMug. I had never gone to their website to check them out, and I'm so glad I did. They may be one of the solutions I am looking for.

Hey DJ. Its good to hear you are better. I'm curious to find out what SmugMug is doing. I signed up with them and realized that what they were offering wasn't going to match what we could get from Pictage. For one there was no way to create categories. Shooting wedding we make at least 20 categories so its easier for our clients to find the images they are looking for. Also, there was no direct link for an event and no password protection. If they implemented the above we would in a heartbeat just from Pictage to SmugMug. Thanks for all you d DJ, I appreciate you and the work you are doing. You are a blessing to us from God.

Glad to hear you are feeling better DJ.

SmugMug is the best. I've used them for almost two years now. I let the site handle most of the heavy lifting and ordering for my (very) small photo biz. I am about to create an entire new webfront using Showit but I will still retain Smugmug for my gallery orders and my storage.

I, too, am glad you are better. I have been sick going on 3 weeks, I wish I could get it hard and have it gone! Also, we have been with smugmug going on 4 years and have really loved them, they always have our backs! :)

Glad to hear you're feeling better, DJ! You seem to be a nice and very easy going (I'm pretty sure my intuition isn't failing me here :) thou i've never met you in person)...

and I can't believe some people act like that when they actually get help from someone..ugr! it would make me mad, too...nobody's asking for my advice though yet..hehe..:)

Take care!

Funny that I ran into this ... as I type, it's 3 am too ... I just can't sleep either. I just wanted to jump in and say that you are an inspiration to so many and I'm sorry that you were treated so poorly. Chin up ... there are so many folks out there that love and apreciate what you do! Hugs, Erika B.
