I swam another 500 meters today. I knew you would want to know so that's why I'm telling you. The thing I don't like about swimming is getting in the water but other than that it's better than running
I heard that board shorts make it tougher to swim so I didn't wear them today but I don't think it helped that much. I dunno. Swimming is great though and it's been really beautiful here so I even shot a bunch of videos for ProPhotoResource and the Freedom Club outside yesterday.
Also, I went for 24 hours only having a few handfuls of Joe's O's and some coffee. I don't really need to eat I don't think. It's just mental. Sometimes on wedding days I look over and my 2nd shooters are slumped over b/c they're so hungry.

it's so true. YOU don't need to eat. however, I do. apparently, my waist size is indicative of this notion! :) when i second shot with you, i nearly bit off every finger from hunger!
I think that this happens when athletes stop pushing themselves...you remember what it feels like to be hungry, so your appetite just pales in comparison to what it was. swim further/harder... you'll be hungry.
...or you're just a freak. ;)
p.s. I think you're almost ready for NiteMoves! :)
ha i've been known to outlast a second or two...
so wait if you were not wearing board shorts what were you wearing? why am I catching that part of the story lol?
Oh, you're definitely ready for nightmoves. See you wednesday!!!!!!!
did you do the videos with no shorts on as well??
you are the weirdest person i "know"
dude! last year i found a nutri-grain in my camera bag an from old DD Productions wedding! 2001!
i always had my backups :)
Ok this is hilarious - 1st time poster and I have to say the post about not having anything to eat and only eating Joe O's - with no milk and about to die... well that had me rolling. ---
E-
dude, to be the most efficient in water, do what the olympic athletes do: full body shave and speedos. LOL Maybe a speedo thong.. just don't wear it if I ever visit. ;) hahaha
The absolute BEST thing to eat after a long time swimming is a couple of hot dogs (with mustard, pickles, tomato, and cucumber-NO KETCHUP!!). My Dad taught me and my sibs how to swim. We'd spend the entire summer at the pool, making the district regret selling us season passes! Anyhoo, hot dogs were our dinner of choice.
