  3. I love it already! I posted two slideshows on facebook and my old friends from high school and college love 'em! It's great that we can reach a totally different audience with the showit app. (And I moved the app to to the top above just about everything else) THANK YOU!

Quick question. Is there a way to re-order (top to bottom) the slideshows that are shown in the app?

  6. Hey DJ, can you add ShowIt Web Facebook to facebook groups?

  7. do you have to have a facebook account?

  8. Yeah, you have to make an account. (You may know this, but it's a newer thing now): You don't need to have an education email address to make an account anymore.
It might take a little time to search for friends and past acquaintances to add as your friends.(This is not meant how it sounds)--Once you have enough friends, that's when it's beneficial to use the ShowIt application. Since it started as a student tool, there are more college and recent alum who use it than 30+ age. But I would say start by searching for young past clients that you've shot--high school and college--and add them as friends. So say you've done senior pics of someone... make a ShowIt presentation of their shoot if you havent, and then they can share it with their friends AND acquaintances on facebook.

  9. well...I never had a facebook thingy...I am old.

I created one anyway...I am not sure what its purpose is. But since the Showit Facebook was free, I thought, ok!

Will this help me get a girlfriend now?

  15. DJ, darling!

I love it, as do my rockin' clients!

ONE comment ... for shows that start with a vertical image, they're all distorted and ugly looking until you click to start the show. That's my ONLY complaint!

  16. Hey thanks Karen :) I'm glad you're enjoying it ... You can click on your Showit Facebook App and then click on the edit button below the show and it will let you change that first image so you can put a horizontal one in there b/c otherwise it will stretch it all crazy.

    :)

  17. Hi DJ,

Great idea! I love how much you give back to the world. You certainly have been an inspiration to me and my business.

Quick question, anyway to 'tag' anyone who might be in the slideshows?

Thanks my friend. Keep up the good work!

  18. Hmm. I think I kind of suck. Every time I try to point it to my Showit slideshow, the app tells me, "No Showit Web show found at the URL provided" but that's definitely not the case. Anyone else have this issue?

  19. Hmm. I may have tech supported my own issue. I guess it requires v2.6 to work properly, and I'm guessing the shows I'm trying to link to were done with older versions of Showit. I'm going to re-do them and upload again to see what happens.

  20. Nope. That didn't seem to work. Any ideas? There's definitely a show here:

    http://www.garrettelliott.com/tiina_andrew

But it still says it doesn't find it when I type the URL into the Facebook app.

  21. Hey Garrett :)

I'm guessing it's the "+" in the show title. The web is kind of picky about special characters like that. Beautiful show though!

  22. Hi David,

Thanks for the quick response (and compliment)! I changed the text from "Tiina + Andrew" to "Tiina and Andrew" but that didn't work. I also changed the link to a single word so it wouldn't have the underscore, but that didn't work either. I'm still getting the "No Showit Web show found at the URL provided" message. :( Anything else I should try? From the sounds of things it worked for everyone else without any issue, so maybe it's the dreaded user error...... :\

  23. WHEEEEEE!!! So very, very awesome! FANTASTIC! Love it!

  24. I spent days trying to figure out a good way to do this... and then the heavens opened and the app was free! Thanks a ton for this.

I just can't figure out how to share it. When i click on the "Add show to my profile" it comes back with a warning, "Cannot add a show that is already in your account." So sadley no one can see my slideshows yet.
