It's madness at my house right now. The first project was to smooth out the interior walls and wow. First they come in and strip everything off the walls and doors including the door frames and then they put on three different coats of stuff and then the last stage which is where they're at now they sand it down to make it really smooth. .... these guys are really great and they don't charge extra for the entertainment they bring! :)
Next week they'll dig up the floors and get it ready to put bamboo flooring in. Once that is done I can finally buy furniture which I love to do and start living in the main house. I will probably wait until later this year to start on the big exterior project.
I also have to give props to my friend Kristen Leigh who showed me the music player I have on the blog. She's an awesome photographer and is out in Chicago at Hotel Barlow right now so she's bound to have lots of fun things to post! :)

You should have said...."Vamos"..no wait...then they would have looked at you funny...

DJ- I know I told you to buy your workers beer but I am pretty sure that I said at the END of the day! You don't want a bunch of sauced construction guys climbing ladders AND breathing in fumes- such a liability...
;)

dude.... they destroyed your beautiful green carpet!!!
I'd throw down!!
Awful nice of you to hand out free beers... I might just have to swing by tomorrow and score some of the good stuff!!!
it kind of doesn't surprise me that on shane's job, there is beer drinking involved. hahaha.. i love it. shane and jimbo need to make an appearance on your next video though.
I love it, the place is completely trashed and you're like "thank you it looks great". Oh DJ, such the nice guy. Then buying them beer on top of it. Wow, you should keep the camera rolling at all times, because things are just getting good:)
At this rate, by tomorrow, the workers will be hanging out by your swimming pool drinking beer... might have to push back the completion date a bit :)
hey, towards the end of the video, the workers were playing a clip of music from the "Wedding March"...
Was the guy in the bathroom singing? Classic! And did I hear a spanish version of the wedding march playing.
It won't look like a snow storm forever..so don't you drink to many of those beers! :D
DJ is this house gonna be ready for the slumber party?? I can't wake up in a pile of dust! We'll all look like we've been antiqued!

how was it? ;)
HAHA Brittany! It was great! :P
Great chatting yesterday and sorry I couldn't make it down.
Not only is she an amazing photographer, but she's super sweet. Defineatly not your average teenage girl.
Did anyone notice the mexican version of "Here comes the bride" in the background music. You can hear it when you come back in the house after saying that have to keep them happy.
your house is going to rock santa barbara once it's done. can't wait to see it when it's remodeled! The house inspector guy came by this morning and I took him to starbucks (he didn't want beer) and bought him some coffee. He stayed extra longer and did some touch up paints for me for no cost! Sweet :-)
